WHERE TO START
We recommend using the series in the following order:

Volume 24: Major and Minor - great for practising these important scales and arpeggios in a jazz context
Volume 1: How To Play Jazz and Improvise - an overview of the Aebersold approach to improvisation and playing jazz, with more on dorian minor scales
Volume 54: Maiden Voyage - using the earlier scales and chords over actual classic jazz and rock tunes
Volume 21: Getting It Together - more interesting scale sounds and patterns for building technique
Volume 42: Blues In All Keys - a very important sound and style to learn and in all keys. The one that will get you into a band !
Volume 3: II-V7-I Progression - seen them before ? You'll want to work on this common chord progression and lift your playing to a whole new level
Volume 84: Dominant Seventh Workout - now's the time to focus on this tension-filled chord ! Woodshed those altered dominant scales and chords
Volume 16: Turnarounds, Cycles and II/V7s - for the serious improviser wanting to advance quickly
Volume 57: Minor Blues - as important as the major blues, these are very cool and hip sounds that feature in alot of music in the past (eg hard bop) and today
Volume 47: I Got Rhythm - expand your playing by studying this important tune, and learn how it has been used by generations of players as the source for many others tunes
