Classical ensemble Sinfonia Viva is set to perform with US jazz star Uri Caine for a series of concerts this month. The East Midlands-based orchestra led by conductor André de Ridder begins its season on 21 October in Derby, followed by the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester (22 Oct) and at St George’s in Bristol (24 Oct) with a programme featuring Uri Caine playing Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations and Beethoven's Grosse Fuge in its version for string orchestra.
