On the basis of a private, informal audition with a tutor, you will be placed in a combo (small jazz group) together with other musicians of similar ability. The combos meet twice daily. Under the expert guidance of a tutor you will play through standard jazz repertoire and get feedback individually and as a group on how to improve your playing. These sessions form the backbone of the course, offering a totally unique opportunity to learn music by playing. Each combo performs a tune at the Students’ Concert on the final afternoon.
