Mark Bassey - Trombone

Mark studied trombone and composition at Trinity College of Music, London. He can be heard playing up and down the country with the likes of Julian Argüelles, Alan Barnes, Mbawula (South African township-styled band) and the Mark Bassey Quartet (new CD ‘Telling Stories’), works regularly in France with Denis Colin (Paris-based group). Mark is very involved with jazz education, teaching trombone and running classes in harmony, improvisation, composition and arranging. He has taught at the Royal Academy of Music, Trinity College of Music, and the City Literary Institute. He joined the faculty of the Jamey Aebersold Summer School in 1996.
