Who should attend

The course caters for all levels from beginners to advanced; there is no age limit – lower or upper. This is achieved by careful grading on the first day to determine your level on your instrument and your grasp of music theory so that you can be placed in classes that will benefit you most. Over 1,600 musicians of all ages and abilities have attended since 1984 including top UK players such as Paul Clarvis (d), Mark Mondesir (d), Michael Mondesir (b), Liam Noble (p), Theo Travis (saxophones) and Byron Wallen (t).

Beginners & Intermediates
Perhaps you’re new to jazz, or have some experience but lack confidence as an improviser. As long as you have a good basic grasp of your instrument, you will benefit from this course. Don’t feel that you won’t be ‘good enough’ for the course: it’s there to assist you!

Advanced
If you’ve been playing for several years, this course will refresh your playing and inspire you to reach new goals.

Educators
If you teach jazz improvisation or run workshops, you will learn volumes from witnessing the teaching methods of the world’s top jazz educators.

If you’re still not sure if the course is for you, contact Jazzwise. We’re happy to answer any queries you may have about enrolling.
