Judy Niemack - Voice

Sony Jazz recording artist, Judy Niemack, has taught vocal jazz throughout the US and is currently Professor of Voice and Jazz at the Hanns Eisler High School for Music in Berlin. Judy has worked with many top musicians, including Toots Thielemans, Kenny Barron, Kenny Werner and Joe Lovano. She is an accomplished lyricist, has written for other musicians (including Pat Metheny) and tours Europe regularly. In addition to her eight CDs as leader, Judy has published two book and CD sets:

Judy joined the faculty of the Jazzwise Summer School in 2006.

Judy's latest CD, "Blue Nights" on the BluJazz label was released in May 2007. It features Judy's vocals with Jim McNeely (piano), Dennis Irwin (bass), Victor Lewis (drums) and Jeanfrancois Prins (guitar/arranger), plus guests Don Sickler (trumpet) and Gary Bartz (alto sax).
