The long-running festival marks its quarter-century with 25 free concerts

The Manchester Jazz Festival is seeking to continue its longstanding support of new and emerging bands with the launch of its Now’s The Time 2020 Crowdfunder campaign, which aims to secure funds for 25 free concerts for the 25th edition of the festival in 2020 MJF. With the festival now taking place across the second spring bank holiday of 21-25 May 2020 (instead of its former mid-summer slot), its milestone anniversary will be reflected through the 25 gigs featuring young and emerging jazz bands from the North West of England. Supporters of the initiative will receive a number of festival benefits from gig tickets and t-shirts to hospitality packages and artists playing in your home.

Over its 24-year history, the Manchester Jazz Festival has championed countless new bands that have gone on to wider acclaim and international success including the likes of GoGo Penguin, Beats & Pieces, Stuart McCallum, Alice Zawadzki, Phil Meadows, Jessica Berry, Matt Halsall, Arun Ghosh, Anton Hunter, Dominic J Marshall, Jon Thorne and Alexandra Ridout among many others.

The deadline to support the fundraiser ends on 21 October.
