Exclusive: Video of the Day: Grammy winning pianist Bill Laurance premieres ‘Cables Rewired’ with the Untold Orchestra

Renowned as founding member of multi-Grammy Award winning groove crew Snarky Puppy, and his own highly acclaimed solo albums, London-based pianist Bill Laurance is set to release two specially orchestrated tracks from his 2019 electronica-influenced album, Cables, on the Cables Rewired EP on 14 May on his Flint Music imprint. These have been expanded into panoramic string-fuelled reworkings in a new and ongoing collaboration with the Manchester-based Untold Orchestra.

This collaborative project between Laurance and the Untold Orchestra started in 2019 and will include further releases and live shows, that while delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, now sees the release of the Cables Rewired EP in April 2021, which includes two special orchestral arrangements of ‘Constance’ and ‘Cables’.

Commenting on this exciting new development in his music Laurance said: “Performing with the Untold Orchestra is a special experience. Their unique chemistry and collective vision in pushing boundaries always lifts the music to new heights. Ultimately anything is possible with this ensemble!”
