Trumpeter Theo Croker is a leading figure in the international contemporary music scene. He’s known for his fearless, multi-dimensional and innovative sound, which is unmatched among his peers. He’s the grandson of legendary trumpeter Don Cheatham and has worked with likes of Dee Dee Bridgewater, Ari Lennox and Jill Scott, spanning multiple genres, including jazz, hip hop, pop and R&B. In 2023 he released five-track EP ‘By The Way’ with Ego Ella May and D’Leau. Croker’s technique is smooth and masterful, allowing him to bring together his eclectic mix of influences, resulting in a soundworld of perfect urban escapism.

Saxophonist Emma Rawicz sets in for a weekend at the underground Soho club. Following her sold out shows last year, she returns for a three-gig residency which sees her perform alongside renowned jazz pianist Gwilym Simcock, with her fantastic 20-piece jazz orchestra and in a special one-off show with pianist Elliot Galvin alongside a string quartet. Expect to hear new and captivating arrangements of her originals in these varied formats. Edgy, emotive, both up tempo and slow and affecting – Rawicz is always worth catching live if you can.

Jazz, latin and fusion drummer/percussionist Tristan Banks heads up his fine quartet of Paul Booth, Ross Stanley and Davide Mantovani. Last year, Banks released his debut From Above (Ubuntu Music), drawing on over three decades worth of experience as a sideman for some incredible musicians (including Roy Ayers, Beverley Knight, Guy Barker and Mike Lindup). The album is a slick, high energy output unifying his long-standing career and influences. Expect to hear highly skilled and virtuosic originals delivered with flair.
