World Peace Trio – Heat of the Moment

Indonesian pianist Dwiki Dharmawan has long been inspired by the culture of his volcano-dotted homeland of Java and its indigenous Gamelan music, as well as the hustle and bustle of the island's largest textile market.
Stuart Nicholson spoke to him about how these infl uences helped forge his latest two long-players, Pasar Klewer and the recently Grammy-nominated World Peace Trio, both featuring the talents of Gilad Atzmon on clarinet, with the latter album recorded in sweltering heat in a shed-like studio
