Borbetomagus Studio Blast

Thursday, October 27, 2016

US avant-improv legends Borbetomagus are set to drop a rare studio set on 25 November.

Issued on UK imprint Dancing Wayang, The Eastcote Studios Session brings together incorrigible sax slayers Jim Sauter and Don Dietrich who, together with arch axe terrorist Donald Miller, exact a new zenith in their unique strain of red-level ruckus, a strict departure from a slew of long-players documenting the trio's live actions.

The album is pressed on heavyweight vinyl and comes in one of Dancing Wayang's trademark hand-screenpainted wraparound sleeves, boasting combustible iconography by the group's long-time friend and fan, renowned British artist Richard Wilson. Exclusive liner notes for The Eastcote Studios Session were produced by none other than Jazzwise's own Edwin Pouncey.
