The revered keyboardist will appear with the powerful drum-led fusion four-piece

Young drum star Jamie Murray brings his fiery post-fusion Beat Replacement band to Ronnie Scott’s this week with a special guest appearance by John McLaughlin/Billy Cobham keyboardist Gary Husband. Appearing on Wednesday 22 September, Murray will also be joined by virtuoso bassist Michael Janisch and talented guitarist David Preston, as they play music from the drummer’s acclaimed debut album Disrespectful, which featured bass legend Tim Lefebvre and Russian sax master Zhenya Strigalev.

Gary Husband is one of those rare musicians in that his expression is divided equally in his capacity as a drummer and a keyboardist of international repute. His classical roots, his quest and development in the improvisational, jazz and jazz/fusion areas – not to mention his tenure in the pop, rock, funk and blues circuits. All are evident inside Gary’s distinct and far-reaching musical personality and should combine for some musical fireworks with these young rising talents of the London jazz scene.
