John Warren docks down at the Jazz Nursery

Acclaimed composer John Warren has been commissioned to write an all-new suite for Jazz Nursery, the monthly spot hosted aboard Sir Francis Drake’s galleon The Golden Hinde.
Lubbers should hoist themselves bankside, 1 Pickfords Wharf, London on Thursday 28 January to witness Warren’s all-star nonet (featuring trumpeter Steve Fishwick, saxophonists Sam Braysher and James Allsopp, trombonist Owen Dawson, clarinettist Sam Rapley, pianist Alcyona Mick, guitarist Nick Costley-White, double bassist Oli Hayhurst and drummer Tim Giles) performing 'Awhereabout', inspired by Warren’s native Canada, in addition to arrangements of classic older material.
