Levitation Orchestra, the innovative London-based jazz collective, is set to showcase their latest collaboration with Iranian modular synth artist Pouya Ehsaei, with this project's unique sound coming to Kings Place on Sunday 14 May.

Founded in 2018 by Axel Kaner-Lidstrom, the trumpet player and musical director, Levitation Orchestra was created with the goal of producing original, collaborative musical suites. In the past 18 months, the group has enjoyed numerous sold-out performances at venues such as Ronnie Scott's, Jazz Cafe, and Studio 9294. They have also made appearances at major festivals like We Out Here and Brainchild and performed on the main stage.

Pouya Ehsaei is an accomplished composer, sound designer, and electronic musician who experiments with various techniques to create unique and hypnotic soundscapes. He leads the electronic jazz ensemble Ariwo and is the creative leader of Parasang, a project that brings together musicians from around the world to collaborate on improvised concerts.

Ehsaei has performed at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Centre, and the Southbank Centre, as well as various festivals including Montreux Jazz Festival, Womex, Womad, and Linecheck. He frequently collaborates with artists from different fields, including dance, video games, and film.

The event is presented by Vaak Records and Art Stage, and it’s a great opportunity to experience this special collaboration between the Levitation Orchestra and Pouya Ehsaei.
