Manchester’s Stoller Hall presents The Printmakers, Trio HLK and Janek Gwizdala Trio as part of jazz programme

The venue has increasingly hosted high-calibre jazz names such as Hermeto Pascoal and Soweto Kinch and builds on this with a strong and varied autumn line-up
Highlights include The Many Voices of Eve which features the massed talents of The Printmakers – aka Norma Winstone, Nikki Iles, Mike Walker, Mark Lockheart, Steve Watts and James Maddren – performing newly-devised music placing women at the heart and helm of this ensemble, re-framed by the extraordinary voices of the London Vocal Project.
Further appearances include ex-pat bass guitarist Janek Gwizdala who performs with his new fusion trio of keyboardist Tom Cawley and drummer Nicolas Viccaro as they release their new album One Way Out (the day after their only other UK show at Pizza Express Holborn, London on 22 August); there’s math-rock meets prog-jazz from the hard-hitting Trio HLK – featuring pianist Richard Harrold, guitarist Ant Law and drummer Richard Kass – with award-winning percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, plus an appearance by virtuoso Azerbaijani pianist Isfar Sarabski with his Quartet to perform powerful songs from his recent album Planet.
