Marcus Miller and Pat Metheny for stellar Contemporary Jazz Cruise 2017

Top US bassist, bandleader and producer Marcus Miller will set sail as host on the Contemporary Jazz Cruise from 4 to 11 February 2017 with some some of the biggest names from the US jazz scene also on board and performing concerts each day.

The impressive bookings so far confirmed include a performance by Pat Metheny Trio while the ship is docked in San Juan, while musicians sailing on the cruise include Joshua Redman Trio, Terence Blanchard, Chucho Valdes, Robert Glasper Trio, The Bad Plus, Candy Dulfer Band and Marcus Miller Band, plus vocal stars Dianne Reeves, Lalah Hathaway and Gregory Porter.

Sailing from Ft Lauderdale, Florida, the cruise itinerary includes two days at sea along with visits to Nassau in the Bahamas, San Juan, Samana in the Dominican Republic and Labadee, a high end resort area on the northern coast of Haiti, before returning to Ft. Lauderdale. Jazz fans will get the chance to meet the musicians and attend concerts and nightly jam sessions in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
