High-calibre Swiss quintet visit the UK for run of January dates
Following the 2019 release of their album, Starlex Complex on Nils Wogram's label, Swiss double bass-led quintet Roofer visit the UK this month as part of their European tour.
Led by low-ender Luca Sisera, the line-up includes pianist Yves Theiler, drummer Michi Stulz, trombonist Maurus Twerenbold and tenor saxophonist Michael Jaeger, the band salute contemporary jazz with the quality of their rhythmic ideas and obvious pleasure in entangled improvised interplay.
The band land at Brighton's The Verdict (21 Jan) followed by The Vortex, London (22 Jan), Matt & Phred's, Manchester (23 Jan) and Arts Centre, Ashburton (26 Jan).
