Two major performances have now been confirmed and include two former Mercury Music Prize nominees in the shape of Cassie Kinoshi’s SEED Ensemble – performing the music of iconic spiritual jazz saxophonist Pharoah Sanders – and UK saxophone star Shabaka Hutchings who lines up with the Britten Sinfonia for a special collaboration.

Both of these concerts will take place at the Barbican – with SEED Ensemble appearing on 14 November and Shabaka Hutchings and Britten Sinfonia on 18 November – performing in front of a socially distanced live audience (subject to what is allowed at the time) with concert simultaneously live streamed online.

See the Jazzwise website for the full announcement and look out for the November issue with a preview and features on the artists appearing. Jazzwise is festival media partner.
