Two of the biggest names from the UK’s burgeoning new wave of jazz will collaborate for an exclusive show at the major summer greenfield jazz festival

A world exclusive collaborative performance from two of the UK scene’s most formidable live acts - Sons of Kemet and Nubya Garcia - is the latest addition to the line-up for this summer’s Love Supreme Jazz Festival, which returns to Glynde Place in East Sussex from 1-3 July. The two artists will headline The Big Top on Sunday 3 July with a special, one-off show that will see both acts performing a full set together on stage at the same time.
Further additions include a collaborative project from London rapper Barney Artist and Bombay Bicycle Club frontman Jack Steadman, aka Mr Jukes & Barney Artist; rising British-Nigerian singer-songwriter Samm Henshaw; hotly-tipped gospel-soul trio Gabriels; powerhouse US soul-jazz vocalist Lady Blackbird; acclaimed young Blue Note-signed alto saxophonist Melissa Aldana, and New Orleans-based Grammy-winning UK singer and pianist Jon Cleary.
Garcia and Sons of Kemet will line-up alongside the already impressive line-up of Gregory Porter, Charles Lloyd & The Marvels, Gary Bartz & Maisha, Mulatu Astatke, Erykah Badu (her only UK show of the year), TLC, Tom Misch, Lianne La Havas, Sister Sledge, Candi Staton, The Brand New Heavies, Ezra Collective, Franc Moody, Emma-Jean Thackray and many more for what is shaping up to be one of the festival’s strongest line-ups to date. Jazzwise is festival media partner.
