Playing alongside Green are: James Davison (trumpet/flugelhorn); Tommy Andrews (alto/soprano); Sam Miles (tenor); Sam James (piano); Misha Mullov-Abbado (bass) and Scott Chapman (drums). All are prize-winning musicians and bandleaders in their own right, and, through constant gigging, the Septet has honed its collective playing in the five years since the release of its debut album Skyline.

Tipping Point aims to celebrate the importance of hope and positive action when addressing individual and global challenges in a rapidly changing world.

"’Tipping point’ is a phrase used to describe global changes, whether the subject matter is climate change, politics or upheavals within society,” explains Green. “The title track in particular reflects this; it is unsettled, with shifting tonal centres and alto saxophone, trombone and trumpet solos building towards a climax before a quiet, unresolved ending.”

Released on Friday 17 April, 20% of album sales will be donated to the charities Trees for Life (rewilding the Scottish Highlands); and Cool Earth (which works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation).
