Transatlantic Collective Makes Waves

Bassist Mike Janisch’s TransAtlantic Collective embarks on an extensive tour at the end of the month.

The band which has been together for three years intends to release its debut album Traveling Song after the tour, and, as its name suggests is a US/UK/Euro collaboration comprised of Janisch on bass, US alto saxophonist Patrick Cornelius, UK Trumpeters Quentin Collins and Neil Yates, pianists John Escreet and Estonian Kristjan Randalu, and Luxembourg drummer Paul Wiltgen. Dates include Ronnie Scott’s (30-31 October and 1 November), Gumbles, Stafford (4 Nov), Matt and Phred’s Manchester (5 Nov), Blue Lamp, Aberdeen (6 Nov), Jazz Bar Edinburgh (7-8 Nov), West Brewery Hall Glasgow (9 Nov), Stables Milton Keynes (11 Nov), Charlie Wright’s London (14 Nov), Under the Edge Wotton, (15 Nov), the Drum Birmingham (16 Nov), Purcell Room London (18 Nov), Hull Jazz Club (19 Nov), Sheffield Jazz Club (20 Nov), Jagz Ascot (23 Nov), Ram Jam Kingston (25 Nov) and 606 Club London (26 Nov).
