Coming out of the fertile London jazz and experimental scenes, Krononaut is a richly textured new ensemble helmed by guitarist /producer Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Imogen Heap, Jon Hopkins) and drummer Martin France (Nils Petter Molvær, Evan Parker). The album features an esteemed group of collaborators and explores a soundworld channelling ‘spectral ambiance’, ‘fourth world’ expansions and some mind-expanding beats and textures.

‘Cold Blood’ features ghost-like tones from the acclaimed Norwegian trumpet player Arve Henriksen. Commenting on the track Leo Abrahams shared some insights how the music came together:

"The whole album was recorded in two days and ‘Cold Blood’ was one of the calmer moments of the second session. Originally a trio improvisation between myself, Martin and Tim Harries on prepared bass, we later sent the track to Arve Henriksen who added the beautiful chorale-like brass. I was playing a metal-bodied guitar and towards the end, you can hear Martin’s drums coming through the pickups and the granular effects I was playing through."

The album was released on 4 September on tak:til/Glitterbeat – more info here idol.lnk.to/Krononaut see the video below:
