A US-native who has lived in London for 17 years, Michael Janisch has established himself as a first-call electric and double bassist to numerous jazz luminaries, a MOBO Award-nominated solo artist, an in-demand producer, and founder of Whirlwind Recordings, one of the leading indie labels across a wide range of jazz styles.

His UK band includes some of the leading lights of the contemporary jazz scene including the twin-sax frontline of acclaimed altoist Nathaniel Facey and fiery tenorist George Crowley and a top-notch rhythm section of versatile virtuoso keyboardist Rick Simpson and powerful drummer Shaney Forbes. Collectively they will be performing Janisch's thrilling original compositions from his critically praised 2019 solo album, Worlds Collide. The Band also play Ronnie Scott's on 13 September followed by Malvern Jazz Club (13 October) and Eastside Jazz Club (14 October).
