A mix of bebop tunes, if Mingus counts as bebop, and originals. ‘Pithecanthropus Erectus’ is an easy swinging delight, while Mingus’ tribute to Lester Young ‘Goodbye Pork Pie Hat’ is may be the best version I’ve heard.
