Chad Lefkowitz-Brown AKA Chad LB is a big-toned, brawny tenor saxophonist with clear affiliations to Sonny Rollins, and here with two Brooklyn-based contemporary hard bop quartets largely on standards, he makes a reasonable case for upholding that tradition without pushing the envelope.
