An award-winning classical guitarist presents two releases: the title track of Affinity is the centrepiece, a pretty conventional guitar concerto for orchestra written by Chris Brubeck for his father's centennial, while the rest covers a wide spectrum from classical, gypsy music through to flamenco. It contrasts with Strings for Peace made up of north Indian ragas written by sarod player Amjad Ali Khan that combine Isbin's western approach with a measured ambience.
