Extra London show added to Robert Glasper Experiment Band tour

An extra date has been added to multi-Grammy Award-winning keyboard kingpin Robert Glasper’s autumn tour with his highly-charged Experiment Band, on 14 November at KOKO in Camden, which is in addition to their almost sold-out KOKO show on 15 November.

Femi Temowo with Engines Orchestra for TW12 Jazz Festival

The TW12 Jazz Festival returns for its fourth edition from 21 to 24 July – kicking off with its traditional free-entry opening night jam session led by up-and-coming guitarist Leo Appleyard at the Hampton Pub, and closing on Sunday 24 July with acclaimed guitarist/composer Femi Temowo’s Trio accompanied by three brass and four string players from the Engines Orchestra on material from his new album, The Music Is The Feeling.

Soweto Kinch brings Ernest Ranglin to Flyover Show

Multi-award winning saxophonist and broadcaster Soweto Kinch is set to present the sixth edition of his Flyover Show, the renowned one-day music, art and dance event, on 20 August which according to Kinch transforms ‘the grey space beneath the Hockley Flyover into an oasis of cultural expression’ – with the last show in 2012 attracting 6,000 people.

Kamasi Washington wows at Love Supreme

In the packed-out, pumped-up Big Top tent, the four sacred notes of the Coltrane tune which gave this festival its name and ethos are being picked out.
